Prayers for Puerto Rico

puerto rico

Puerto Rico is near and dear to my heart. One of my favorite vacations and we rescued our little puppy-boy Ponce while on vacation.  I will be donating a percentage of my jewelry sales to Glen Venezio (an amazing and kind human being).

Now it’s time to HELP Marissa!

37190688_1550579636543039_r

For the entire month of March, I will be donating a percentage of my sales to a fellow Animal Lover/Rescuer. Her name is Marissa Hebert. She lost EVERYTHING all the contents of her home. Thankfully her two dogs survived, but she lost two of her precious kitty cats, they didn’t make it.

(In the early morning hours of February 19, 2019, Marissa Hebert lost her entire home to a devastating fire. Her upstairs neighbor, Marissa, and her two dogs made it out in time however she is unsure about her two cats.

Marissa has helped SO many in the community between her job at Catholic Charities and her animal rescue, Dog House Adoptions/Pawsome Pups Persevere.

Now it’s time to HELP Marissa! She has lost everything so whether you can help monetarily via this fundraiser or have other essentials, please come forward. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and everyone who considers her family, friend, or animal advocate!)

This is such a wonderful story…..

Don’t you wish farmers would just stop raising livestock and send their animals to live out their lives at a sanctuary? Jay Wilde did exactly that.

Happy Cat Rescue

happycatweb

Happy Cat Rescue specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals. We never discriminate on the basis of health, age or breed. By involving and educating the community, Happy Cat Rescue works to raise the public’s awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any and all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.

Who We Are

In 2009, Marcia Scott’s minister discovered abandoned kittens living behind his house in Guilderland Center. As so many others have done in the past, the minister turned to Marcia for advice and help with the kittens. Unfortunately, this story is not unique because, in the surrounding localities near Albany, New York alone, there are hundreds of abandoned and/or abused animals.

This was the beginning of Happy Cat Rescue

As more people contacted Marcia for help, it was obvious there were a growing number of felines in need of assistance and care. In addition to the needs of the kittens and cats, often their owners needed a helping hand, guidance, and education on the welfare of their companion pets.

Although Marcia and her husband, Chuck had been rescuing and re-homing needy kitties for more than 20 years, the continual growth of those in need helped them realize there was more responsibility and work than they could handle alone. Being involved with other rescue groups, networking, and dealing with multiple cat hoarding situations secured their vision that would allow them to fill a need in their community.

Therefore, in September 2011, Happy Cat Rescue Inc. was formed for the purpose of helping out stray cats, abused cats, abandoned cats and cats who could no longer receive proper care from their owners. In 2011 alone Happy Cat Rescue Inc. was able to find loving, forever homes for more than 50 rescued cats and assisted in the adoption process for many others. Happy Cat Rescue Inc. is directly involved in rescuing and placing abused, unwanted, and abandoned cats and kittens.

Happy Cat Rescue Inc. requires that all kittens and cats are tested for FIV/FELV before they are allowed to join the rest of the group. They are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any and all necessary medical treatment before they are available for adoption to carefully screened adopters.

Happy Cat Rescue Inc. hopes to help raise the public’s awareness on the plight of homeless felines and educate people on the benefits of adopting an animal from a rescue group or a shelter.

Happy Cat Rescue Inc. refers pet owners to locations where they can receive low-cost spay or neuter services.

As Happy Cat Rescue Inc. expands, the goal is to have a formal shelter environment to better serve the local feline community.

In December 2012, Happy Cat Rescue Inc. received its 501(c)(3) status.

Adoption Fees:

Barbie’s Emergency Fund

PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR BARBIE’S ROAD TO RECOVERY

My name is Robyn and I am a very serious animal rescue volunteer. I also donate to many organizations in need of help.

My cat Barbie is one of the most friendliest cats you will ever meet. When I got home from work yesterday he would not come out of his cat house and he was crying. When I touched his rear end area he screamed in agony. At that point I got him into the crate and rushed him to the emergency vet last night. We were told after x-rays that his kidney is not functioning and it is twice the size that it should be.

Barbie is still at the vet and they are performing an ultrasound this morning and the vet bill has gone from $1,000 to $2,700. We were also told that he may require removal of his kidney which will go into the thousands of dollars. The vet said that when they remove the kidney he will live a normal healthy life again he will need to be on medication is all.

I am an avid rescue worker and I volunteer. One of my good friends and coworkers told me to start this page to help me with some of the costs of this situation.

I will gladly refund any of the money that is not used or donate to a organization that is in need.

I do my best to help as many animals as I possibly can and I greatly appreciate everything thank you so much for your generosity. I know that having pets can be expensive so therefore I never judge anyone when they are in this situation. We have to do what is the best for our pets.

I will post the vet bills as well as pictures of Barbie as he is getting better.

My cat Barbie is an 8 year old sweetheart that I rescued from a girl that was moving and was looking to just bring him to the pound. Anyone who has met Barbie knows that he is one of the sweetest cats around. Unfortunately he is experiencing kidney problems and needs to go in for a possible emergency surgery to relieve him of the immense pain he has been suffering from. Euthanasia is not an option for me as he is a beloved member of my family. The surgery itself as well as his hospital stay has rung up quite a large vet bill that is putting me in the financial red. I even have a rainy day / pet emergency fund that is draining fast. Absolutely anything will help and is wholeheartedly appreciated! Thank you in advance to all friends and family willing to help out in our time of need. I pray that it will never happen to you but someday if it ever does I will gladly be there to return the favor.

I also create jewelry and I donate a percentage to a lot of organizations as well. I Love My Dog Jewelry

Thank you so much again and I am praying hard for Barbies recovery.
He really is the sweetest cat you could ever meet he gives Barbie hugs.

We assisted with a hoarding case here on Long Island working with several other rescues. We removed 28 dogs from a home, 10 of which were under 8 week old Westies with no mother. 1 of the puppies passed away, 1 is in the ER and another is on the way to the ER now. They are suffering from malnutrition and severe dehydration. 7 are in foster homes and are getting supportive care. Please help us fight for them.

Why Spay or Neuter Your Dog / Cat ::. Adopt-a-Pet.com

Adopt a pet

Spay or Neuter your pet! Too much of a good thing
is not a good thing… Shelters are overflowing.

Why Spay or Neuter?

If you think that just having one or two litters won’t hurt anybody, this fact should change your mind: according to the Humane Society of the United States, 10,000 babies are born in the U.S. on any given day. On that same day, however, 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. Match those two statistics up, and you’ll see that there will never be enough homes for all the animals born in this country unless we all take responsibility for spaying and neutering our pets. Change begins with YOU! Spay or neuter your pet!
